Privacy policy

This website is operated by PREDUZEĆE ZA PROIZVODNJU PROMET I USLUGE VELKOS DOO EXPORT-IMPORT KOSOVSKA MITROVICA — Velkos d.o.o. in everyday use — a company registered in Serbia with its seat at Kralja Petra I 167, 38220 Kosovska Mitrovica, Serbia. We are the controller of the personal data described here. The full register entry is at the foot of this page.

One address handles everything, including data-protection requests: luka.velimirovic@velkos.org.

This policy covers this website, velkos.org, and nothing else.

The HotBot app is a different piece of software that handles different data — your messages, your account, conversation history. It has its own policy, at velkos.org/hotbot/privacy. The company behind both is the same one.

Two things, and only two.

• ·Your email address, if you give it to us. Both early-access forms on this site — the one on the front page and the one on the HotBot page — write to a single list. We store the address, the time you joined, and which of the two forms you used. Nothing else: no name, no password, no account.
• ·Ordinary web-server request data. Like any website, serving a page involves your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for passing through our host. We do not build profiles from it and we do not analyse it.

There is no account system on this website, no comment section, no contact form, and no payment of any kind. The contact page is a list of email addresses.

We use your email address for one purpose: to tell you when there is a HotBot build to try. That is the thing you signed up for, and it is the only thing the list is used for. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to advertisers.

Two service providers process data on our behalf:

• ·Google (Firebase Hosting) — serves this website. Its backend for this site runs in the europe-west1 region.
• ·Google (Cloud Firestore) — stores the early-access list.

Google may process data outside Serbia and outside the EEA. There is no other processor, and there is no analytics or advertising vendor on this site at all.

We keep your address on the early-access list until you ask us to remove it, or until the early-access programme ends and the list is deleted. Ask and it goes — there is no confirmation flow to fight and no reason for us to keep it.

This website sets no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies, because there is no advertising and no analytics product on it. There is nothing here that follows you to another site.

One thing the site does store locally, in your own browser and never sent anywhere: a single flag remembering that you have already seen the boot sequence, so you are not shown it twice.

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Since what we hold is an email address on a mailing list, in practice every one of those requests is answered the same way, immediately.

This website is not directed at children, and the early-access list is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child's address has ended up on it, tell us and we will remove it.

This policy will change — it is a draft and it is due a proper legal review. When it does, the date at the top of the page changes with it. We will not quietly broaden what we collect: if that ever changes, it will be stated here in plain words first.
