The name on the machine
In the 1980s, in Kosovska Mitrovica, Dragan Velimirović taught himself to program on a DOS machine. It gave you a prompt and nothing else, and waited for you to already know what to type.
The user profile he made for himself was drak.
He wrote software for years before there was a company to write it under. There is a long stretch there that is not written down anywhere.
Velkos was entered in the court register on 1 March 1994, in the same town, on a founding act dated 18 February 1994. He is still the director. The papers are at the bottom of this page.
Nobody associates this town with software. It has had a software company in it since 1994 anyway.
His son runs the product work.
We build our own software and keep running it afterwards, so the same people pick the features, write the code and answer the mail about it — and we take outside work on the same terms.
The product is HotBot, an AI conversation coach. One Kotlin Multiplatform codebase covering Android, iOS, desktop and web, a Ktor backend, and models we fine-tune ourselves. Built and in testing. There is no launch date.
The site logs in as drak. That name was already on the machine.
