Ledgers, invoices, and rules that change in January and have to be correct in February. Nobody is charmed by it. Getting it exactly right is the entire job.
After that we are not fussy. Bring a system that runs a warehouse, a program that reads the paperwork nobody wants to read, or the thing that only makes sense inside one business and has therefore never been built. The last one gets answered first.
HotBot
The one we built for ourselves. It reads a conversation, writes the reply you could not think of, and explains why it works. Mostly for flirting, which is about as far from a ledger as we have got.
Status
Built and in testing. No launch date.
We take outside work.
Send the problem rather than a specification — the good ones usually arrive badly described. What comes back is a yes or a plain no, not a proposal.
